Grandpa's Birthday and Other Things...

These are in sdrawkcab order and I don't feel like changing them around. But here are some fun pictures! My family came down on Friday night because Andrew had a football game down here. We had a second birthday party for my Grandpa, Lucky
It's always fun to be with our family and I'm always so sad when they go:( But Emma stayed with us, and I am SO happy!!! I am going to take her home on Tuesday and then my Dad is driving me and the girlies up to Idaho for a super quick weekend trip!

Kaylee enjoying her cake. Yum!

Blowing candles out for the second time:)

Singing happy birthday for the second time!

Blowing candles out the first time

Singing Happy Birthday the first time.

This is the face that Kaylee makes every time we tell her to "smile"

Isn't she an angel? I thought she looked so sweet sleeping there. Let me tell you, this girl loves to sleep. I can't wake her up from naps early and she is super hard to wake up in the mornings. She's like a teenager! She gets mad, whines, pulls the blankets over her head... It's pretty funny:) Kaylee, on the other hand, is a different story...

Oops

I meant to post this a few days ago! We got a beautiful bouquet of flowers on Halloween! Thank you for thinking of us Jan! The flowers were beautiful in our entry!

7 Things

tagged[1].jpg
I was tagged by Michael's cousin, Katherine!

Here are 7 random facts about me:

1. I am a Disney freak. Seriously, I get made fun of. I love Disneyland, Disney movies, Disney characters. I know random trivia facts about every Disney movie and about the parks. And I don't even care when Lily wants to watch Little Mermaid, Cinderella or Aladdin 50 times in a row.

2. I am ridiculously picky about my laundry. The way it's sorted, the temperatures it's washed at, and the way its folded. I also do not tolerate stains. I go through stain remover like crazy and I check everything before I put it in the dryer, if there is still even a tiny stain I spray more stain remover on it and back into the laundry it goes. I also have a special little routine for my whites every few weeks. I like them white, white, white.

3. I love to have my hair played with. I even like when Lily does"fixes" my hair every day after I do hers.

4. I really, really love the ocean. I just love every single little thing about it.  The way the air feels and smells, the sound of the waves, the sand, the beauty! I love it!

5. I also love the rain!  Those cloudy, "gloomy" days actually make me really happy.  Like, really happy!

6. This may not come as a surprise:) But I have a craft addiction. You name it, I've probably tried it. Or will try it. My favorite (and the only thing I've really stuck to, besides sewing) is knitting. I love knitting, and trying new patterns.

7. I use to love scary movies! But for some reason when I was in college I started getting really horrible nightmares. They were like a thousand times worse than the movies I watched. So I had to give them up! Then, after I was married and got pregnant with Lily, things got really bad. I had to stop watching TV shows like CSI. Sad too because I loved that show. But I'd rather give it all up and be without those nightmares. I sound like a baby I know! Its the weirdest thing because the shows don't actually scare me... they just give me bad dreams. Really bad.

Okay thats all. Hope you weren't too bored. Thanks Katherine!

I tag  Alise, Jamie, Dev, Missy, Shalyce, Annie, and Larkie.  Have fun:)

Election Day!

I just want to say that I hope that everyone gets out and votes today!

Happy HALLOWEEN!

Here are ALL our Halloween pictures. They were all so cute that I couldn't just choose a few. I had to post them all! Can you tell that I am the picture taker in our family? Actually, Michael did take  a few, but I couldn't post the ones he took of me.  They were not cute:)

This is not a Halloween picture, obviously. I took it a few days ago and couldn't leave it out!

Michael brought home pumpkins for us to carve the other day. I took this picture during the 5 seconds that the girls were actually interested.

Oh look! I do exist! Barely! I look like a ghost. We tried to have Lily take one of us but it didn't work out very well...

All the Pumpkin Pictures were taken a few days ago. Now on to the Halloween pics!

Kaylee was a wingless fairy. By time I was finished with everything else I didn't have time to make her wings:(

Lily was a "fairy like Tinker Bell" (her exact words)

.

Aren't they the cutest fairies you've ever seen?!

On the way to the Trunk of Treat.  That bow looks HUGE! I swear its not that big in real life!

Missy and Kaylee. Missy was the cutest pregnant Bumble Bee I've ever seen!

The costume parade. Lily danced all the way through it!

Our cute little pumpkin patch!

And the best part about their costumes? They cost me a total of about $10 to make! I would have liked to embellish Lily's wings a little but I didn't have the time or the supplies. They weren't the cutest because they were the very first pair I've ever made (except for the ones my dad helped me with in high school. Remember that, Dad?) Anyway, we had so much fun today that we can't wait until next Halloween!

Shameless Promotion

A few months ago I joined a blogging community where they feature different blogs every day (The Secret is in the Sauce, link on the right). I haven't been interested in being featured but its fun to read the other women's blogs! Anyway, today there is a woman "shamelessly promoting" a fundraiser for her husband who has prostate cancer. The treatment center they are using is totally out of pocket; they have already raised $15,000  and only need $5ooo more! I would totally do something like this for my husband and I know I would really appreciate all the support we could get. So, if you go to this website : www.friendsofgeorge.com, you can purchase a little printout cookbook for only $1 using your Paypal account (totally safe)! Personally, I love cookbooks and can't have enough! This is for a good cause, I just think about how I would feel if it were me and my husband. Anyway, the least you can do is take a look! You can also click on this to visit her blog.
