Yikes

So I got back in to town last night (all the way from TEXAS!) and where was the first place we stopped before even going home? The Emergency Room. Yes, well it turns out that everything IS bigger in Texas! Including the bugs. And the bug bites. Kaylee has bites on her arms that are doing nothing but getting redder and bigger! Scary! They swabbed it to culture it and boy did she scream. I am sure she thought they were giving her shots. It was nothing scary at all but I had to wrestle her just to hold her down! Anyway, we got some nice topical cream to put on them and some super cute bandaids and we are on our way to recovery. Hopefully! Still gotta find out about that culture!!

update: the culture proved that she had a Staph infection. So frightening but I'm glad its all taken care of.

Why?

Why is it that its almost 7:30, and each of my childrem are sound asleep? And not for the night, mind you. Do you know what this means? It means I'll be up until midnight... at least. I don't know why I let this happen. Now I have to decide whether to wake them and deal with the crankiness or let them sleep and enjoy the peace and quiet. I think I'll choose the latter:)

4th of JULY

We had such a great 4th! My mom has been here with us and it has been so wonderful to have her around! I just love my mom more than anything and I'm so grateful for her. I don't have much time today so here are some pix and, as always, they are out of order;)
Oh, I did Lily's hair and made it a star. I practiced a couple of times before the 4th. I'm soooo glad she sits still while I do her hair. Its so fun:) I just LOVE these girls!

The 4th

We had such a great Fourth of July, its may favorite holiday by FAR!! I just love everything about it; the summer atmosphere, the craft fairs, the fireworks, and especially the reason we celebrate it!! I am so grateful to live in a free country and have the freedoms we have. How blessed we are!!

Friday

Lily stayed with my sister last night. She begs me to stay at Geri's about every other night. I tell her she has to wait to be invited! So last night, Geri offered to take her and Lily was sooooo happy:)

Today we are cleaning up and getting ready for my mom to come. She'll be here tonight. SOO excited!!

Here are some pix. The slide pic is from yesterday. We went to the swingset and there were some little girls paying, they are visiting family for the 4th. Lily was SO excited to have new people to play with. This girl is the absolute opposite of shy! Anyway the bottom one is from when we went to the zoo the other day. I don't know how it missed that post!
