good for you, it's fun to play around with photoshop just always make a duplicate before you start so if you don't like your fixings you still have the original. I would not lighten it quite so much as you are loosing their skin tones. It's controls for brightness and contrast which can really help photos if they are too dark but don't lighten too much. Learn by doing. You have the cutest girls...maybe someday we'll meet them in person.
