I wanted her to blow raspberries and all she wanted to do was wave.
She's just the cutest.

a birth

All the way back in May I had the opportunity to photograph my friend Natalie as her baby came into this world. It was an absolute privilege! I have never witnessed a childbirth before (other than my own children!) and it was such an amazing experience. The peace and the calm that entered the room as soon as that baby was in his mother's arms was tangible. I was a blubbery mess as I was taking the photos. The nurses were all looking at me like I was a crazy person because I couldn't stop oohing and ahhing over the baby and tearfully saying over and over how perfect he was and what a miracle it was and what a fantastic job Natalie did birthing her baby (without any pain control, I might add!).  It was so amazing. There is nothing in this world as special as the birth of a baby and I am so fortunate that Grant and Natalie let me be a part of such a special experience. I truly feel honored that I was able to be there. I will never forget it. Thanks so much Grant and Natalie!
Meet cute little Theodore:

Father's Day (um, just a little late)

Our Father's Day Display that we set out for Michael to wake up to.
(Lily's card, Riley's, and Kaylee's)

The moral of this story is to do pretty dress pictures before church. That way you get to capture Kaylee's cute hair, Mallory's cute headband and shoed girly feet.

This is what we made Michael for "Fothrs Day"

My bff Mandy and her bf Matt came over for dinner that night. Poor Tay broke his radius but he has a super awesome cast now. We love our friends.

Ironically, none of the pictures in this Father's Day post include the father of our family. But BOY do we love him! My girls have they best daddy and I'm suuuuch a lucky woman to have him as the father of my children. There aren't children in this world who love their daddy more than our girls love theirs:)

seven months

I realize she is closer to eight months now, but these pictures were taken when she 7 months and 11 days:)

I love this baby more than anyone could even imagine. She is such a big girl!

Some stuff about Mallory:
  • She started crawling exclusively about 2.5 weeks ago. For about a month before that she would half crawl half scoot. Now she's a crawling pro.
  • She pulls her self up to a standing position every time she gets a chance.
  • Now that she is mobile I have to keep a better eye on her. Sometimes she "disappears" and I usually find her in the bathroom. She is obsessed with those little caps that cover the screws on the bottom of the toilet. It's really gross. (Don't worry, Mom. I keep the bathroom door shut all the time now. Also, I clean the bottom of the toilet and the surrounding area meticulously)
  • She LOVES her sisters and they love her. There is nothing more precious than watching your children interact and treat each other with kindness. I'm so lucky that my girls love each other so much. I pray every day that they will always be the very best friends!

I love this little girl. I love her sisters. I love their daddy.
I love being a mom.

Sick Couch

Summer time is flu season at our house. Kaylee was sick yesterday and the day before; Lily and Riley are sick today. My fingers are crossed that Mallory stays healthy.
As much as I hate when my babies don't feel well, I love how cuddly and sweet they are when they're sick.
I love being a mom.

Baby Moses

We pulled her around the living room on this little raft and pretended she was Baby Moses floating in the river. I walked away for a few minutes and when I came back I found her asleep.
Ohh, I love her.
