Howdy, howdy, howdy, howdy

Last night I came into my room at my grandpa's house to find Woody chillin' on my bed, reading a recipe book. I'm pretty sure my brother, Zach, set this display up for me. I haven't seen him yet today to express my appreciation;)

Best Journal Entry Ever

Here is Lily's journal entry from last night, written from her exact words. This is her very first one. Hopefully there are many more to come;)

When I was a baby and a long time ago I came out of Mommy's belly and Kaylee out of Mommy's belly and then Riley out of Mommy's belly. And all I do is try to grow up. I wish that I can be big and strong and do everything that I can do. And then one day a long time ago Grandma and Grandpa and Emma and Zach came to our house. And then we slept again and then one day we fell asleep again in our old house, And one day we went to our new house. We so loved it there, we so loved it, we so loved it. Then one day another baby came out when Mommy and Daddy got married and her name was Riley. And then one day we fell asleep at our old house and then we singeded a song:

"I love you, you love me. We're a hap-pay fam-uh-layyyy. Oh Ye-aahh. Bay-ay-ay-ay-be heeee, One day a witch came we scared her we were the 3 nin-jas and she went away to a house. Oh yeaahhh! Come on everybody, sing with me. Come on everybody, sing with me. Come on everybody, sing with me."

And then one day we goed to the park and grandma and grandpa took us there. And one day it wasn't a long time ago anymore. Thats it.

This is for Geri

Riley walks around saying, "I ya youu!" all day long. Geri really wanted me to get a video and post it. I have already watched it a million times because I love Riley's face after she accidentally says "Daddy" instead of Geri.

Excerpt form my journal...

Lately

   Today-
Lily could not lift a folding chair out of the corner and said, "I think someone has stolen my power!"

     A few days ago-
Kaylee hugged me super tight and said, "I really, REALLY love you, Mommy! Thats why my heart beats."

I have also been recalling things in the last few days that the girls used to say, but (sadly) have grown out of:(

"Mom, am I being Have (hayve)?" after I had told them to behave.

Lily singing, "Has given me an early foam" instead of earthly home.

Lily saying "scoof" instead of scoot. "Mom, will you please scoof over?" She said that for so long, I thought she'd never stop! I took it for granted and I miss it:(

I wasn't planning on including anything else in this post but I just took these pictures. I was in the same room as the girls but my attention was on the computer for 5 minutes. This is what I found when I got up.

They REALLY want to have a picnic. and ps. I have NO idea why they're all shirtless (and pantless, in Lily's case). They started the morning off with clothes on their bodies, like they do every morning. Somehow they always end up naked. Actually, now that I think about it I remember hearing them talking about "swimming at the beach without our clothes on". So there you go. Here are my children fresh from the imaginary beach.

Cutest Little Haircut Girls

Today I took the girls to the cosmetology college to have Heather give them haircuts. They did such a great job being good and sitting still and Heather did SUCH a great job cutting their hair! We just trimmed Lily's, I couldn't bear to cut it short because she is so good about letting me fix it whenever I want, however I want. Kaylee, on the other hand, will not let me do her hair. She only ever wants a headband and sometimes a ponytail ("Just one. Not two"). Heather and I thought an a-line would be adorable on her and we were right;)

Lily had her eyes half shut in the pic I took right before this. Every time I tell her to keep her eyes open for a picture, this is the face I get. Geri says she looks like Luke Skywalker.

 Kaylee's before pics

Kaylee's goodbye hair

After shots!

This cutest little baby didn't get a haircut, but how could I possibly leave her out of a post!?? Plus, I could never cut those precious curls.

ps. YES, it is freezing cold outside here and YES, I dress my children every single day, but somehow I cannot keep clothing on their bodies. Don't worry, our house is warm and cozy;)

I have an artist on my hands

So, a few nights ago Michael and I were watching a movie; Kaylee and Riley had already gone to bed and Lily was drawing at the table. After a while, Lily climbed into Michael's lap and went to sleep. When the movie was over we went into the kitchen and found this nice little stack of stuffed envelopes on the table.

Lily went to a "tea" party a few days ago and ever since has been absolutely obsessed with her new friend, Ella, AND with having a tea party of her own. Every single one of these envelopes is for Ella. Now, because I failed to hide the envelopes after this little episode, we have 20+ "letters" for Ella. I don't want to bombard Ella and her family with tons and tons of envelopes and I hate to be wasteful. So basically, if I have your address memorized, you (and everyone in your family) have one on the way to your house. If you would like an original piece of artwork by Lily just let me know because we have lots of extra drawings;)

Oh! and I only opened some of the envelopes to see what she had drawn. So really I don't know what most of the pictures are. I can guarantee that the vast majority of them are drawings of teapots and teacups and little girls sitting at tables.
