1 cup flour + 1 cup water

and some food coloring = FUN!!

I didn't realize until we were almost done that Kaylee was stark raving naked. It was just as well; as soon as we were finished I put them all straight into the tub!

Our "rinse" bowls got murky pretty quick. I think the girls thought it was just part of the paint.

Riley did not touch one drop of paint to her paper. It went straight to her mouth. Who knew flour and water was so tasty???

Kaylee played in the water bowl pretty much the whole time. Her hands wrinkled right up!

We painted on the shiny side of freezer paper. I think that the dull side may have been better...

Thanksgiving Week

As always there are a million pictures of our trip. And as always there are not enough pictures of PEOPLE. Sadly, I don't have a single picture or Geri and Shane, my dear mother, OR my grandpa and his lovely wife! Watch out Texas Floyds, when we come for Christmas I'm gonna be taking pictures of EVERYONE! You'll feel like celebrities. Just don't let me forget;)

Did anyone see where Zach went?

Bishop CA

Sierra Nevadas. This photo was taken right up the road from my parents house at about 10:00 at night.

This is Mt Whitney in Lone Pine CA. I don't know why it looks so fuzzy in the middle.
(Whitney is the middle peak. to the right of the two little peaks that look like teeth... or something)
This one and the next two were taken at about 7:00 at night. ( I think! All I REALLY remember was freezing my bum off!)

 Sierra Nevadas at sunrise.

Poor Lily sat at this table for an hour and a half before we had dinner. I think she was hungry...

The missionaries were HILARIOUS singing karaoke. And FYI we do NOT have a boy/girl set of missionaries. That would be weird. Their companions were nearby.

I only took this pic because I thought it was cute that Kaylee's shoes were on the wrong feet:)

This is the only picture that I (almost) got of my mom:(

The weather got a little freaky on the way home.

Riley had some sweet hair going on. Nothing new there.

And lastly, this is what Riley does EVERY single time we ask her to smile. I'm going to get a video up here one of these days.

Guess How Much I Love You

Today I said, "Kaylee, do you know how much I love you?"

"How?" she said.

I stretched my arms out wide and said, "I love you THIS MUCH!".

She told me that the loved me too. Then she stretched her arms out wide and said:

"You love me this much. Well.... I AM that much."

note: this post was from last week at my parent's house. i was only able to add the photo today.

ER Visit

Kaylee has been really sick with croup. A few nights ago her coughing and weezing got so bad that we decided to take her to the ER. While were were there she was given an epinepherine breathing treatment and a shot of steroids. While the nurse was preparing to stick Kaylee's leg with the needle, I could tell that she (Kaylee) had a bad feeling. The nurse swabbed her leg with an alcohol wipe and told her that she would feel a little pinch but not to worry because it would make her feel all better. At that, Kaylee covered her eyes with her arm, lay back in Michael's lap, and declared, "I don't want to see this!"

My poor baby. I didn't want to see it either! The Dr sent her home with oral steroids and she is back to her normal self. I am so relieved to see her healthy and happy:)

bangs

I forgot to tell you that I got a haircut. More specifically, I got bangs. I haven't had any since I was 13 and i love them. Thank you Heather for giving me a haircut that I love! We all know how hard those are to come by.

and if anyone is in Rexburg anytime between now and September you need to stop by Evan's Hair College and have Heather fix your hair. She is a natural. and I love her.

pillow talk

Last night I was laying across Michael's arm, trying to fall asleep.  He began to snore and since I was uncomfortable anyway, I pulled his arm from underneath me and laid it across his chest.

"Michael, you're snoring"

"No I'm not! I've been awake this whole time" he replied rather defensively, and then said, "I've been thinking about inhaling objects."

???

"Objects???   Like... toothbrushes... or toasters?"

"No... shhhh."

At first I thought he must be thinking about his Anatomy and Physiology class because they are studying the respiratory system. But the more I thought about it, the more ridiculous inhaling objects sounded.

Naturally, he has no memory of our little chat last night.

loves

After the praying, reading, and singing I told the girls they needed to go to sleep and I walked out of their room. When I left it was just the two of them in their bed.
When I came back a few hours later to check on them I found this.
